MSM Is The 'Enemy Of The People': Why Do Liberals Give Them A Free Pass When They Have Been Harmed Far More By Media Lies Than Trump Supporters?

By Susan Duclos - All News PipeLine

In December 2017, it was reported that over 30 percent of the general population in America believe the mainstream media, which we call the Mockingbird Media, agreed with President Trump when he called them the "enemy of the people," with 63 percent of Trump supporters agreeing with that statement. Other findings show that 52 percent of the public had "not much" trust in the media or "none at all," while only 49 percent have a "great deal," or "fair amount of trust."

The survey found that 12% of Americans have a "great deal" of trust in the media and 37% have a "fair amount" of trust in the press. However, 39% of the public said it has "not very much" trust and confidence in the media and 13% of Americans said they have "none at all."

On political lines, 74% percent of Democrats share "a great deal" or "a fair amount" of trust and confidence in the press but only 19% of Republicans concur.

In addition, 69% of Americans believe the media "tend to favor one side."

When it comes to President Trump, 44% of the public believes the media make up stories about him more than once in a while -- 24% "about half the time," 14% "most of the time," and 6% "all of the time." For Trump supporters, 77% believe the media fabricate stories about him more than once in a while.

The media of course blames President Trump as he has been a vocal critic of the them since well before his candidacy for President, when he nicknamed them "Fake News," but a look at historical polling tells a completely different story.

As the graph below shows public trust in the media has been on a downward trajectory since 1977 when 72 percent of the public said they had a "great deal" or "fair amount" of trust in the media. By the 1990s a bare majority still had some trust in the media, dipping under 50 in 2005, back to a mere 50 percent in 2006, and has not gone over 50 percent since.

Gallups numbers are even worse for the media in 2017 , than the previous poll discussed above, where only 41 percent had a "great deal" (13 percent) or a "fair amount" (28 percent) of trust and confidence in the media. 58 percent, have "not very much" (29 percent) or "none at all" (29 percent).

President Trump didn't erode the public's trust in the media, they did that all by themselves as the consistent downward trend shows. The President just called them out it, publicly.

His latest reference to CNN "Fake News," came during his presser at the G-7, when a CNN reporter asked an obviously slanted question which sounded more like "gossip," than actual news and President Trump asked him which outlet he was with and when the reporter said CNN, Trump pounced on "Fake News CNN - The Worst," before he went on to answer.

It is completely understandable why Trump supporters think the media is the "enemy of the people," since the liberal media demonized Trump supporters from the beginning, labeling them racist, homophobes, Islamophobes, sexists, misogynists, along with a whole host of other descriptors about the "deplorables."

The real question is why 74 percent of Democrats share "a great deal" or "a fair amount" of trust and confidence in the press after all the documented lies they have been told, right to their faces?

Before the primaries even ended, the media constantly told their audience of liberals and Hillary Clinton supporters that Donald Trump would never win the GOP nomination for president. Then he did. Then the media relentlessly declared his candidacy  dead in the water every time he said something publicly they did not like. They pushed polls, which we all now know were consistently wrong, and convinced Clinton supporters and liberals everywhere that Donald Trump simply could not garner the electoral votes to win the presidential election. They were reporting that right up until they sat there on live TV, shocked because they believed their own lies, and announced that Donald Trump had won the presidential election and would be the next President of the United States of America.

After the election, they spent months wondering how they got everything so wrong, but in a rare moment of honesty, NBC's Chuck Todd admitted publicly that the media knew how "hated" Hillary Clinton was in the heartland and deliberately "underplayed it."

“Where I think political correctness got in the way of what we all knew as reporters and didn’t fully deliver was how hated the Clintons were in the heartland,” the “Meet the Press” host admitted Thursday to former Bush White House press secretary Ari Fleischer in a interview for the “1947” podcast.

“And I think it was a fear of, ‘Oh, is it going to look like it’s sexist, anti-woman if we say that?’” he added, pointing out that on the hustings he saw numerous “Hillary for Prison” signs adorning the front yards of rural America.

“I think we underplayed it a little bit out of political correctness fears,” Mr. Todd said. “No member of the press corps wants to look like they’re singling out a group and making a group feel bad, right, whatever that [group] is.

In other words, they lied, they knew voters in the states that handed Donald Trump the election, hated Clinton, and they deliberately didn't inform their audience. They simply allowed them to be blindsided on election night.

Where was the outrage from Democrats, liberals, and Clinton supporters after Todd admitted that? There was none.

The the media breathlessly pushed "Recounts" and Hillary Clinton will join the recount effort, deliberately raising the hopes of millions of Clinton supporters and liberals everywhere, just to be let down when that didn't quite work out the way they wanted it to, as he ended up with more votes, not less. Donald Trump was still the President-Elect.

Then they offered more false hope by pushing for a campaign to make the electoral college members vote against their states' results to deny Trump the presidency. In fact they inflamed their readers so badly, electoral college members reported actual death threats against them. That too failed, Donald Trump was still the President-Elect.

The media then pushed with all their might for a huge turnout to "protest" Donald Trump's inauguration. Actually protesting the fact that an election was had, and won, because they didn't not like the results of a democratic election. At the end of the day on January 20, 2017, Donald trump was the president, and the "protests" accomplished nothing but a ton of images of losers in pink p*ssy hats, and of course the image seen all across the world of a woman (I think?) screaming helplessly as she heard the announcement that Donald Trump was officially the President of the United States of America.

Within a month of Trump's inauguration, the media had already begun their "fake news" campaign and by February 2017, 16 documented fake news stories had already been run. That campaign continues to this day with reporters taking to Twitter to make announcements, just to delete them and apologize later after it was exposed they had lied. The newspapers and cable news outlets have, with increasing frequency been exposed for their "reckless" reporting of outright fake news.

The examples just don't end, more occur every day.

The media screamed Russian collusion with the Trump campaign for over a year, and now they have backed away from that claim after over a year of investigations have found no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Yet they did their jobs in misinforming their audience as the liberals that seem to have so much trust in an industry that has lied straight to their faces for the past two years, continue to screech COLLUSION!

In the meantime the media has moved on to their next preferred narrative... obstruction!

It appears the liberal media is now under the impression that it is their job to incite liberals to rage, rather than reporting the facts. The results of their campaign as the "enemy of the people," has succeeded in widening the divide, pitting American against American.

Look at liberal Bill Maher, who recently told his audience that he does not care how many people are hurt, "bring on the recession" to harm the Trump presidency. The man actually wants the American economy to collapse, simply so that Donald Trump will look bad.

Can I ask about the economy because this economy is going pretty well? I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point. And by the way, I'm hoping for it. Because I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy. So, please, bring on the recession. Sorry if that hurts people, but it's either root for a recession or you lose your democracy. - Bill Maher

Imagine the level of hate it takes to want Americans to suffer massive debt, forclosures, starvation..... just because he hates the president.

The levels of vitriol seen by liberals against anybody that supports anything President Trump does, includes death threats, name calling, media doxxing (revealing private information) Trump supporters. People wishing for the death of conservatives' children.

The media did that. The "enemy of the people."

The question remains, why is liberal anger, their hatred, leveled at conservatives instead of at the media who has lied to them at every opportunity, has admitted to lying to them, has consistently raised their hopes with false information and utterly fake news at times, just to watch them crash down to earth even more angry than they were before?

Why are liberals giving the press a free pass? They have harmed them far more than they have conservatives who already know to confirm and verify before believing anything the liberal media "reports" nowadays.

If liberals truly would rather be told lies simply because it is what they "want" to hear, rather than be informed of the truth, then perhaps they deserve every disaapointment they have suffered over the last two years.

NOTE TO READERSWith digital media revenue spiraling downward, especially hitting those in Independent Media, where attacks from every direction continue to come unabated, it has become apparent that traditional advertising simply isn't going to fully cover the costs and expenses for many smaller independent websites.
