It has been a tremendously good weekend and beginning of the week for president Donald Trump as news has begun to filter into American homes that despite all the accusations, media and social media attention, along with former Obama intelligence officials pushing the Russia collusion hoax, the conclusion from special counsel Robert Mueller stated "The investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities."
Notice it did not say there was insufficient evidence to charge, but that the nearly two year investigation "did not establish" any conspiracy or coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign.
While democratic politicians are screaming and screeching that they want to see the entire Mueller report because they were hoping to continue to use the "Russia investigation" as a battering ram right up until the 2020 presidential election, and many Americans would like to see as much of the report as possible, that direct quote from the report has finally put the collusion issue, the main mandate given to Mueller to investigate, to bed.
Many, myself included, would absolutely love to see the type of reckoning that included media outlets held legally accountable for pushing salacious and now-proven fake news, and to see the architects of the whole "Russia collusion" hoax, from Hillary Clinton, to former heads of a variety of intelligence agencies, to democrat politicians that went on television and falsely claimed they had "proof of collusion" (Yes, looking at you Adam Schiff), all carted away in handcuffs, but that is not the type of reckoning we are likely to see.
For many, again myself included, that would be real justice, but the reason I headlined with reckoning and not "justice," is because we are probably not going to see mass arrests of the whole gang of corrupt psychopaths, but we can watch the reckoning, as the media is taken to task, by those that had trusted their word that Robert Mueller was going to take president down, and "indictments" were imminent against the president, his family and campaign associates
Media Puppets Discredited: Everyone from Fox News to Breitbart, Conservative Independent Media websites, social media users and even liberal media followers, are slamming, shaming and holding the media accountable for lying to them with the Russia collusion hoax.
Retribution was indeed swift. Donald Trump Jr lamented “more than two years of non-stop conspiracy theories from CNN, MSNBC, BuzzFeed and the rest of the mainstream media” and added: “It’s my hope that honest journalists within the media have the courage to hold these now fully debunked truthers accountable and treat them with the scorn and ridicule that they so deserve.”
Sean Hannity, a Fox News host in frequent contact with the president, was quick to assist. He issued a series of ominous warnings, variously concerning conspiracy theories, lies and attempts to rig elections.
“CNN, MSNBC, and the mainstream media have lied to the the [sic] American [sic] for [two] plus years,” Hannity said in a tweet. “Now they will be held accountable.” Another post took a cavalier approach to punctuation: “MSNBC CONSPIRACY NETWORK LIARS FAKE NEWS CNN LIARS NY TIMES WAPO LIARS.”
Fox News followed Hannity’s lead. On Monday Fox and Friends, the morning show Trump is known to ingest, declared a “mainstream media meltdown”.
On the left, many were prompted to navel-gaze and hand-wring. Others jumped straight to name calling.
The Rolling Stone writer Matt Taibbi reckoned Mueller not filing fresh charges was “a death-blow for the reputation of the American news media”.
“The press has now handed Trump the mother of campaign issues heading into 2020,” Taibbi wrote. “Nothing Trump is accused of from now on by the press will be believed by huge chunks of the population.”
Glenn Greenwald of The Intercept, a long-time Russian investigation skeptic, thundered: “If you’re an MSNBC viewer – or reader of liberal sites on the internet – you were fed a steady stream of conspiratorial bullshit that completely warped your view of the world. All while they purposely excluded anyone who questioned their fraud [and] profited off your fears.”
Greenwald was particularly upset with the MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, who he said “went on the air for [two] straight years [and] fed millions of people conspiratorial garbage [and] benefited greatly”.
Brit Hume, the senior political analyst for Fox News, calls this the "worst journalistic debacle" of his lifetime.
President Trump is also slamming the "enemy of the people" media as well, as he now has proof that for the past two years and more, the media has pushed lies, and make no mistake, he will continue to remind Americans how often they were lied to by the very media they trusted.
SPLC: We can watch the reckoning as organizations that have labeled Trump supporters as a "hate" group and attacked us relentlessly for religious beliefs, our stances on illegal immigration, the border wall, abortion and traditional marriage, along with any group that disagrees with liberal ideology, implode, such as the recent series of events that has Southern Poverty Law Center under the gun.
Wrote Moser: “For those of us who’ve worked in the Poverty Palace, putting it all into perspective isn’t easy, even to ourselves. We were working with a group of dedicated and talented people, fighting all kinds of good fights, making life miserable for the bad guys. And yet, all the time, dark shadows hung over everything: the racial and gender disparities, the whispers about sexual harassment, the abuses that stemmed from the top-down management, and the guilt you couldn’t help feeling about the legions of donors who believed that their money was being used, faithfully and well, to do the Lord’s work in the heart of Dixie. We were part of the con, and we knew it.”
Intelligence Agencies Exposed: The entire "insurance policy," which was what former FBI agent Peter Strzok called the Russia collusion hoax, has also been exposed as an elaborately attempt, by high level intelligence agencies officials, to frame President Trump for collusion. They began the investigation based on bogus information in the discredited Steel Dossier, sent spies into the Trump campaign atmosphere to attempt to entrap them, then former FBI director James Comey admittedly leaked his memos to a friend with the sole intent of having his friend leak it to the media in order to get a special counsel appointed.
It worked, but the set up broke down when Mueller attempted to verify their "collusion" evidence, and after nearly two years, found there was none.
The majority of those involved in orchestrating this elaborate hoax, in an attempt to frame president Trump, are now former intelligence employees, some resigning in disgrace, others terminated, with yet another demoted twice, but the Mueller findings, just with that one sentence "The investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities," shows they never had any "evidence" to justify the initial investigation.
Resistance & NeverTrumpers: Liberals that consider themselves part of the "resistance" (resist anything President Trump does or says), and NeverTrumpers, so-called "conservatives" that would rather see liberals given free reign than Donald Trump as President, are also feeling the pain of false hopes being dashed, lies they have been told by the media that they believed without question simply because they wanted them to be true, being revealed as completely fake news, and the pièce de résistance (pun intended), is that the very person that put all their hopes into, Robert Mueller, may have just handed President Donald J. Trump, everything he needs to win re-election in 2020.
The most recent polling from the the Hill-HarrisX survey, taken before the Mueller report was summarized to announce there was no Russia collusion with the Trump campaign, showed 54 percent of registered voters, would consider voting President Trump into a second term. 95 percent of those that voted for him in 2016 would vote for him again, 24 percent of those that voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016, would consider voting for Trump, and 35 percent that did not voted in 2016, say they may vote for him in 2020.
Have to wonder what those numbers will look like once the Mueller conclusion has filter through more households and voters have time to consider the amount of times they have been lied to by the media, the deep state players-turned-television-talking-heads, and democrat politicians.
From the recent arrest of the Trump-hating "creepy porn lawyer, Michael Avenatti for extortion, to the liberal media that now has so much egg on their face they may never wash it off, to the SPLC that has labeled conservatives and Trump supporters as "hate" groups imploding, to the deep state players that tried and spectacularly failed to frame a presidential candidate and then the sitting President for a crime he never committed, to the resistance and NeverTrump crowd that placed all their hopes in Mueller, they have all had a very bad, horrible week of let downs, revelations and failures.
Frankly, I have absolutely no sympathy whatsoever for any of them after what they have done over the past three years.
Their reckoning has arrived.
