The Covid "Scientific Consensus' By Researchers Were Lies - The Party Of Science Are The Party Of Fake News And Disinformation With The Help Of The MSM To Spread Covid Lies

The New York Times (Archived link here due to paywall) has an article out which claims the G.O.P. is targeting "researchers who study disinformation ahead of the 2024 election."

After all the "disinformation" and false predictions about global warming, which wasn't a catchy enough phrase to gain traction, so now they call it climate change, and the so-called "science" behind the Covid lockdowns, masking, untested vaccines and school closures, it is probably a good thing that Republicans are targeting those that have protected the very people that have lied to Americans time after time after time.

On Capitol Hill and in the courts, Republican lawmakers and activists are mounting a sweeping legal campaign against universities, think tanks and private companies that study the spread of disinformation, accusing them of colluding with the government to suppress conservative speech online.

Good. Scientists and so-called researchers colluded with the government, who then colluded with social media and big tech to censor the truth. 

Not just "conservative speech," but actual truth was censored as websites like ANP were demonetized, shadow banned, had social media accounts terminated, all for reporting things that were labeled "Dangerous, derogatory, unreliable and harmful," all because what we were reporting or asking questions about "contradicts authoritative, scientific consensus."

Below we are going to delve into some of the claims of the "authoritative scientific consensus" that have now been proven wrong.

CLIMATE CHANGE DINSINFORMATION/PREDICTIONS

Let us begin with climate change, which used to be referred to as global warming, and the disinformation, otherwise known as the predictions pushed by the "authoritative scientific consensus," for decades.

In looking up a list of failed predictions, we found that someone had already done the hard work, listing 50 different predictions, with links, over the past 50 years, all of which were supposedly backed by science, all which failed to come to fruition.

I'll list the first 25, but link to the piece with the entire 50 so readers can click over and give them some love for their hard work in compiling the full list.

COVID DISINFORMATION

The "authoritative scientific consensus" on Covid-19 has been constantly wrong, yet with each new bit of "research" done, if anyone dared to question the validity of the resulting conclusions they were suspended or terminated from social media,  demonetized, and accused of spreading disinformation. It was also deemed "racist" by the MSM to dare suggest the Covid virus came from the Wuhan, China lab.

Lab Leak: Disinformation

Where did Covid come from? Well, Independent Media saw that it originated in Wuhan, China, and that there is a Virology Institute which just happened to be an active premier research center for the study of coronaviruses, according to Wiki.

The virus came from the lab we said. 

The "authoritative scientific consensus," said, no, it came from a market, and they maintained that stance until recently when overwhelming evidence convinced the FBI and other agencies that it likely did come from the Wuhan lab, just as Independent Media had been reporting for two years!

It is now 2023, and lo and behold, we see headlines like "It’s becoming undeniable: COVID came from a Chinese lab." We also now find out "Wuhan lab scientists were first to catch COVID-19."

Side Note: It is also being reported that "US taxpayers funded $2M worth of research in Wuhan."

Vaccine Prevents Covid: Disinformation

We were told that the vaccine, which was rushed to production and implementation without any testing for long term side effects, would prevent  the vaccinated person from getting Covid.

Ooops. Biden himself contracted Covid....after being vaccinated and getting his boosters!!!! TWICE!!!! As did many others. 

Masks Prevent Covid Transmission: Disinformation

Remember the mask mandates? One couldn't enter certain stories or businesses without a mask, and while some might have worn them by personal choice, which is their prerogative, Independent Media came out strongly about being forced to wear one when it was doubtful they could prevent transmission. 39 states implemented a mandatory masking policy.

Again, all that took that stance were deemed "disinformation" pushers.

By February 2023, a study found "Face masks made ‘little to no difference’ in preventing spread of COVID."

Now, a new scientific review — led by 12 researchers from esteemed universities around the world — suggests that widespread masking may have done little to nothing to curb the transmission of COVID-19.

Published by Cochrane Library, the review dug into the findings of 78 randomized controlled trials to determine whether “physical interventions” — including face masks and hand-washing — lessened the spread of respiratory viruses. 

When comparing the use of medical/surgical masks to wearing no masks, the review found that “wearing a mask may make little to no difference in how many people caught a flu-like illness/COVID-like illness (nine studies; 276,917 people); and probably makes little or no difference in how many people have flu/COVID confirmed by a laboratory test (six studies; 13,919 people).”

It found that “wearing N95/P2 respirators probably makes little to no difference in how many people have confirmed flu (five studies; 8407 people); and may make little to no difference in how many people catch a flu-like illness (five studies; 8407 people), or respiratory illness (three studies; 7799 people).”

If one is at high risk and decides they want to wear a mask out in public, that is their choice, but the next to time the government tries to force compliance, tell them "we will not comply."

Covid-19 Death Tolls: Disinformation

Each week the media breathlessly reported on the death toll numbers from Covid-19, using those numbers to convince Americans they needed the vaccine. 

This went on for years, yet we now find out that many of those deaths were not "death by covid," but rather a secondary infection, bacterial pneumonia, from being put on ventilators.

A new analysis suggests that a high percentage of people who required help from a ventilator due to a COVID-19 infection also developed secondary bacterial pneumonia. This pneumonia was responsible for a higher mortality rate than the COVID-19 infection.

So while COVID-19 may have put these patients in the hospital, it was actually an infection brought on by the use of a mechanical ventilator that was more likely to be the cause of death when this infection didn't respond to treatment.

The 'official" numbers have yet to be rectified and it appears they are not going to be.

School Closures Reduce Covid Transmission: Disinformation

This is outright fake news as proven by studies of Japan, where some municipalities closed schools and others did not.

We do not find any evidence that school closures in Japan helped to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in spring 2020. Among our pairs of similar municipalities, municipalities that closed their schools had very similar levels of COVID-19 as those that kept their schools open. In other words, municipalities that shut down their schools imposed additional costs on their residents without receiving the supposed benefit of limiting the spread of the pandemic.

To further confirm our main finding, we show that our results hold across a host of alternative approaches to modeling the relationship between school closures and COVID-19 cases. These robustness checks all point to the same conclusion: There is no evidence that shutting down schools had a significant impact on limiting the spread of COVID-19.

Independent Media accurately reported on the harm school closures could do  to students, and we were told we were called "grandma killers."

BOTTOM LINE

There is so much more, the myocarditis in young Americans that took the vaccine and/or boosters, the mysterious "sudden deaths," of athletes and others, the harm to Americans and businesses that were deemed "non-essential" and forced to close down indefinitely, and Fauci funding gain-of-function research, were all treated as "disinformation" and all turned out to be true.

The NYT piece whining about the GOP going after think tanks and institutions that all helped spread the true Covid/vaccine disinformation, ignores the aforementioned points and proof.

The bottom line here is the "authoritative scientific consensus" can, and has been wrong about damn near everything covid-related......and climate related.
