On Saturday I posted a link to a TownHall article titled "He Fights," to which garnered great comments for the content of a piece explaining why the writer Evan Sayat answers the question he is asked by his "leftist friends," and NeverTrumpers, about whether he thinks President Trump's tweets are "beneath the dignity of the office."
His article is his answer to that question and his answer is, in a word, spectacular and a must-read for those that did not see it on Saturday, as he points out a number of examples showing that conservatives have been "playing by the rules of dignity, collegiality and propriety," for the past 60 years, while the other side has been "engaged in a knife fight where the only rules are those of Saul Alinsky and the Chicago mob."
By the end of the piece he concludes:
So, to my friends on the Left – and the #NeverTrumpers as well -- do I wish we lived in a time when our president could be "collegial" and "dignified" and "proper"? Of course I do. These aren’t those times. This is war. And it’s a war that the Left has been fighting without opposition for the past 50 years.
So, say anything you want about this president – I get it, he can be vulgar, he can be crude, he can be undignified at times. I don’t care. I can’t spare this man. He fights.
While the piece does also deal with the media, highlighting how they are part of the culture war, a look at recent events shows us that Americans are finally joining the fight. Specifically the #CNNBlackMail" as part of the "Great Meme War of 2017," and Saturday's viral phase two of #CNNDirt where social media users turned the tables on CNN, who thought it was newsworthy to hunt down a random Internet users that created a meme that hurt their little feelings, then threatening to reveal his identity to the world if his "bad behavior on social media" continued, by digging through CNN employees social media and highlighting their own disgusting "bad behavior on social media."
While the meme war has been extremely entertaining, the legitimate civil war behind the campaign, is anything but. This is not just a culture war, or the president versus the media, or even the MSMs' continued temper tantrum over their loss of influence and control of the general populace when they and their party lost the 2016 presidential election.
It is much, much bigger than that. This is a war for America, happening right this second. Americans tired of globalists and the Deep State putting everything and everybody before Americans, with the establishment media being used as their propaganda arm, are fighting for our Republic. Americans are willing to take up the fight because we now have a President that is leading the charge.
While these campaigns on social media, including the #CNNMemeWars and the latest #CNNDirt may amuse and entertain, they serve another purpose that is more important, they have media members literally locking down their verified accounts, and as seen above, members that do not wish to be associated with news outlets that are deliberately publishing "fake news," are now trying to jump ship.
THE IMPORTANCE OF PRESIDENT TRUMP CALLING OUT THE 'FAKE NEWS' MEDIA
This morning CNN's Jim Acosta took to Twitter, yet again, to whine about President Trump's social media slams against the slew of "fake news" that has been reported recently, news that has had to be retracted, deleted, apologized for. NYT and AP both have also recently offered corrections regarding many of their false news stories, showing this isn't just a "CNN" issue, although they are the worst offenders of late, but an issue across a wide variety of establishment news outlets.
Of course, I might have mentioned as a comment to that tweet that "The U.S. is a Republic, not a democracy, man you guys can't seem to get anything right anymore," but a larger point comes to mind. Where was CNN and the serial whiner Acosta when Barack Obama was constantly slamming Fox News? Where was his defense of the media then? Silence.
In fact, Neil Cavuto, addressed that very point in a segment back in January 2017, saying ""The irony is I feel your pain. You never came to our defense, so allow me to come to yours. You are better than Buzzfeed. ... Isn't it obnoxious and unfair how some celebrate your plight? Kind of feels like the way you celebrated ours, doesn't it? They say payback's a bitch. If only you would take a moment to rewind the tape and see the shoe was on the other foot, or am I confusing it with the one now kicking you in the ass?" said Cavuto."
Where was the globalist propaganda puppet Acosta as Democrats on the FEC were proposing a new rule to target conservative news outlets this past week? Oh, that's right, he was too busy tweeting about Russia and whining about the White House press briefings not being on camera so he could scream questions out when other outlets were chosen, getting his 15 minutes of YouTube fame. He couldn't be bothered to actually report the "news."
WINNING THE WAR AS THE MEDIA FLOUNDERS
The more President Trump calls out the media, the more "mistakes" (lies) they report as they double down on their propaganda war, which is being noted by "angry" conservatives across the country, as well as with nearly two-thirds of Americans. 62 percent believe "there exists a campaign to delegitimize President Trump and his administration." It was a yes or no question and 87 percent of Republicans, 63 percent of independents, and even 40 percent of Democrats answered "yes" there is a campaign to delegitimize the President. (Harvard-Harris Poll link)
On July 14, 2017, Breitbart highlighted an email CNN media reporter Brian Stelter received from an Iowa radio host telling him that "conservatives in his state are “very angry” at the legacy press because they think the media are using Russia stories to “oust” and delegitimize President Donald Trump."
"They think the Trump/Russia deal is a coup attempt by the media, and don’t think there is anything to the Russia/ Trump, Jr. emails," Robert Leonard, the news director, emailed. "They don’t understand why the media is trying to oust our duly elected president. They think there is a double standard — why isn’t anyone investigating the Clinton campaign/Russia connections? They are standing firm behind Trump."
In May, CNN even admitted that voters across the country don't care about the whole Russia narrative, are tired of hearing about it, but in a stunning show of being completely disconnected with reality, they blamed President Trump for being "obsessed" with Russia. (Archive.is link)
For months, I've traveled the country talking with dozens of Trump voters. No one has ever brought up Russia, an issue that President Trump seems obsessed with. The topic never came up in Ohio, Kentucky or Michigan. Last week, I was in Wisconsin. There too, Russia never came up, nor did the FBI, both of which are dominating news from the White House.
Excuse me a moment while I laugh hysterically at that blatant lie.
They are cracking up folks, literally losing their minds, exposing themselves for not only liars but for being totally out of touch with Americans across the country who are sick and tired of hearing what is important to reporters and want to hear about the issues "we the people" are interested in.
What has the media downplayed or ignored while they continue to scream RUSSIA!!!?
President Trump has kept them chasing their tails over his tweets and "RUSSIA!," they haven't had much time to coordinate and collude to stop his agenda.
Coming full circle back to the original TownHall article we started this one off with, we note that President Trump is bringing the fight directly to the propaganda arm of the globalists and the Deep State, as his comments cause so-called journalists to drop everything in order to double down on their original lies and to whine about how "unfairly" they are being treated, without any acknowledgement about how unfairly they have been to "we the people" with their consistent "fake news."
When the writer stated "With Donald Trump, this all has come to an end. Donald Trump is America’s first wartime president in the Culture War," he was spot on.
This is war.
