Disinformation Specialists, Conspiracies, And Attempts To Discredit Independent Media As A Whole To Drive The Newly Awakened Back To The MSM Propaganda Networks, Or To Go Out And Repeat Disinformation

By Susan Duclos -  All News Pipeline

For the past few months we have been seeing an uptick in not just out-there conspiracy theories being pushed in the comment sections, and while there is nothing wrong with that, a lot of them have been proven true over the years, as owners of a website that readers have been coming to for years and year, we have the responsibility to not break the trust of those that come to All News PipeLine for the truth.

Free speech and trying to be responsible website owners is a fine line to walk and balance on and it is never easy.

Every once in a while we feel the need to remind ourselves and readers, old and new, that while Independent Media needs to question the "official narratives" pushed by the mainstream media, we must not fall prey to the mindset that "everything" is a conspiracy.

No matter how you cut it, no matter what we do as website owners, someone is always going to be upset at some decision we made for the good of ANP.

Yesterday we were accused of censorship because after three solid months of having a certain theory (one to do with the shape of Earth), we said enough. It was derailing threads, it was distracting from issues that could mean life or death, war, food shortages, inflation, ect.... and quite literally driving people away from the website and from commenting, as well as filling up our email boxes with complaints.

Free speech is one thing, allowing one single person to discredit ANP because we didn't stop the continued, never-ending spread of what we, and the majority of the readers, consider disinformation, is another.

Reader comment yesterday while we were dealing with this issue:

RecoveringPublicEducated:

It truly does have that effect. At a family gathering, the subject of deep state fraud came up. 9/11 was glanced upon also. I stated my view and was immediately asked: "are you a flat earther too?" By itself, this proves nothing, but I responded: "I don't know and more importantly...I don't care."

I don't need to be convinced that our gov't lies...massively. I truly do not care the shape of the earth. Further, i do not care what type of bomb is dropped on unfortunate humans. Mass murder is real. Does nuclear war scare me? Yes. But i'm not convinced that alters my behavior in any significant way. I have no control of our military or NASA budget. The puppets we elect never fulfill promises anyway. I tend to focus on biblical comments but they all are interesting and I do mourn the loss of potpourri type commenting. So let's not abuse any one subject by daily haranguing and we won't end up here.

With that said, below we want to address a couple of issues that have made Independent Media websites a target of government campaigns to discredit the alternative media collectively.

ANP Emergency Fundraiser: The globalists war on ANP is all part of the globalists 'Big Tech' effort to silence conservative and independent voices, allowing them to maintain a monopoly on the flow of information. As George Orwell made clear to us decades ago, "The further a society drifts from the truth, the more they will hate those who speak it." But, with your amazing help, we at ANP promise to keep 'speaking truth to power'. .

PUSHING THE PREFERRED NARRATIVE (PROPAGANDA) ON AMERICANS

In 2013 when Barack Obama repealed the ban that prevented the U.S. government-created "news" aka propaganda to be disseminated to the American people, Independent Media websites started being inundated with trolls and disinformation specialists mimicking the propaganda of government generated "news."

For example: If the U.S. government "creates" a story they want the world to believe about, say, Russia, they are now allowed to push that propaganda on the America people where before the ban was repealed, they could not.

In 2011 it was reported that the U.S. military was developing software which would create multiple online fake identities to use on social media, chat forums, comment sections, which would push pro-American propaganda.

So we already know that the government creates sock-puppet accounts to push propaganda.

We also know for a fact that MSM, and U.S. federal agencies have been working overtime to discredit Independent Media that reports on issues they do not want talked about, asks the questions the MSM won't, and are collectively managing to bypass the government's "preferred" narrative.

How do we know this? DoD funding for supposedly an independent website that provides profiles on websites, claiming many Independent Media websites are spreading disinformation.

Via The Federalist:

The media-ratings giant NewsGuard denied it was “government-funded” after being called out as part of the vast Censorship Complex during congressional hearings last week. But government records and the company’s own public announcement celebrating a nearly $750,000 federal grant suggest otherwise.

The government gives them enough money that would keep ANP going for a decade or more, and they  attempt to discredit websites that won't kowtow to the official government narrative.

Nice racket, eh?

DISCREDITING INDEPENDENT MEDIA.....

Attacks against Independent come in a number of ways, and with the internet allowing anonymity we cannot always be sure of who is behind attacks against the truth community as a whole.

All any website owner can do is look for signs, and if enough of those signs are shown by one individual it raises a red flag. Those are the people we watch the most and often costs a lot of time in keeping an eye on every comment made by that person.

We'll start with trolls and then move along to disinformation specialists hitting forums, chats, comment sections and social media.

In much of the material found on spotting trolls they start with people avoiding the use of their real name, but that is not something we have on our "spot a troll" list because these days publicly commenting using your own name can get a person fired for simply being conservative.

Below are a few things we look for in new commenters.

• Trolls try to lure people into discussions just to waste their time.

• Trolls consistently argue or bring up the same topic.

• Government trolls will comment constantly, from nine to five and then seem to just disappear the majority of the time.

From HowToGeek:

Comment sections: The comment sections of places such as YouTube and news websites are also popular areas for trolls to feed. You'll find a lot of obvious trolling here, and they frequently generate a lot of responses from angry readers or viewers.

• Off-topic remarks: Completely going off-topic from the subject at hand. This is done to annoy and disrupt other posters.

Again this one is not high on our list because we do allow for off-topic breaking news links, videos, and any other type of current news to be shared in all our articles' comment sections, but if it happens in the middle of a discussion in a sub-thread, it does catch our eye.

• Dismissive, condescending tone: An early indicator of a troll was that they would ask an angry responder, "Why you mad, bro?" This is a method done to provoke someone even more, as a way of dismissing their argument altogether.

• Seeming obliviousness: They seem oblivious that most people are in disagreement with them. Also, trolls rarely get mad or provoked.

Disinformation specialists:

Operation Mockingbird was (possibly still is under another name) a large-scale program of the  Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) that began in the early years of the Cold War and attempted to manipulate domestic American news media organizations for propaganda purposes.

Some Independent Media websites have noticed a different kind of troll, the disinformation specialist, which some believe are run by the CIA.

What we are hearing, and as a disclaimer, we have no way of either confirming or debunking the theory because the CIA are masters of secrecy (unless they want something spread, so they "leak" information, true and false to U.S. papers), is that disinformation specialists have been targeting Independent Media websites in order to confuse those new to the truth movement, and cause division between patriots.

Imagine if someone that just discovered the MSM and government has been lying to them about (insert topic here), so they start visiting Independent News websites cautiously, and what do they see, a number of outrageous claims, going unanswered in the comments.

That person is going to do one of two things,  run as far and as fast from the "crazy" people, and go back to sleep, or be taken in and then they start spreading the same disinformation.

One specific tell by disinfo agents is they don't just push one unbelievable theory, but you will find they push every conspiracy out there. Elvis is alive and in hiding, there are no such things as nuclear weapons (ignore Hiroshima and Nagasaki), Hitler was a good guy,  etc etc etc......

They also use comment sections, social media and chat forums to attack and try to discredit other Independent Media websites, accusing them of being controlled opposition, or sell outs, or on the government payroll.

Whether these people are with the CIA or not, they have but one purpose.... discredit any website that doesn't toe the "official narrative" line.

Watch for them, call them out, civilly please, so anyone new to the truth movement sees that the site itself is not pushing disinformation and are not driven away.

ANP Fundraiser: ‘Dangerous, Derogatory, Harmful, Unreliable!’ Those are some of the exact words used by Google’s censors, aka 'Orwellian content police,' in describing many of our controversial stories. Stories later proven to be truthful and light years ahead of the mainstream media. But because we reported those 'inconvenient truths' they're still trying to hide, they pulled their ads from ANP.
