As History Is Being Erased Across The Nation, Celebrate Independence Day As If It Will Be The Last Time You Can, Because It May Be

- The Land Of The Free And The Home Of The Brave

In this day and age, companies are being forced out of businesses or prevented from opening in certain areas, for no other reason than an owner, founder, President or VP, has an unpopular belief, or a celebrity is banned from some acting jobs because they made the  "wrong" political choice, or when a joke or comment from 20 years ago, when everyone laughed, can get a person "canceled" 20 years after the fact, because some have forgotten how to laugh.

It is called the 'cancel culture', and now more than ever with it happening all around, Americans need to remember that despite all attempts at erasing history or even people, America is the "land of the free and the home of the brave."

Many will point to certain "laws" and claim that there is no freedom, but in comparison to dictatorial countries, yes, we are free.

More than that is how many forget the time, the circumstances which surrounded Americas Independence.

The Fourth of July—also known as Independence Day or July 4th—has been a federal holiday in the United States since 1941, but the tradition of Independence Day celebrations goes back to the 18th century and the American Revolution. On July 2nd, 1776, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence, and two days later delegates from the 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence, a historic document drafted by Thomas Jefferson. From 1776 to the present day, July 4th has been celebrated as the birth of American independence, with festivities ranging from fireworks, parades and concerts to more casual family gatherings and barbecues. The Fourth of July 2020 is on Saturday, July 4, 2020.

Many of an older generation will wave that away with the comment "I already know that," and we thank heavens for that, but for many of the younger generations, they do not know that.

How do we know? Well Campus Reform asked a bunch of them and while most have been taught America is a "racist" country, when asked about Independence day, only some said our founding, or separation from Great Britain. When asked the year America declared Independence, only one got it right, after getting wrong, most couldn't even name the right century.

That included two teachers.

Then when asked what country we got out Independence from, only a couple knew, and one even said "America."

I kid you not.

Asked what war was fought to take our Independence, one answered the "French Revolution," another said the civil war.

It is paramount, today more than any time in our history, to remember our founding and to remember those that died to give us our Independence, as liberal America is attempting to "cancel" the very man who wrote the words "The and of the free and home of the brave."

Celebrate this great nation. Celebrate your freedoms. Celebrate the bravery it took to give us America.

Celebrate it like it is the last time you will be able to, because if the left gets their way, it will be.

In honor of Francis Scott Key, the National Anthem, sung by the late Whitney Houston.

God Bless and stay free.
