The Party Of 'Ugly' Contempt: New Study Confirms Previous Research Showing That Liberals Are Statistically Uglier and Unhappier Than Conservatives And More Mentally Disturbed
We have seen multiple different research studies showing differences between Democrats/liberals and Republicans/conservatives. Another study has just been released which provides further proof that liberals are literally miserable people.
A quick flashback into the previous research before delving into the report recently released which confirms many of the findings from the other studies.
• White women, ages 18-29, who identified as liberal were given a mental health diagnosis from medical professionals at a rate of 56.3%, as compared to 28.4% in moderates and 27.3% in conservatives. - Source
The study, which examined white liberals, moderates, and conservatives, both male and female, found that conservatives were far less likely to be diagnosed with mental health issues than those who identified as either liberal or even “very liberal.”
• People who are married statistically are wealthier, have higher rates of happiness and fulfillment, and even have better health than their single, divorced, or cohabitating counterparts. - Source
• Only 37% of liberals are married, while 56% of conservatives are married. - Source
Compared to conservatives, liberals are less inclined to prioritize activities that are strongly associated with personal fulfillment.… Over the past 20 years, liberals have become less closely connected to religious organizations and churches. Only 35 percent of liberals report being a member of a church or place of worship. Marriage rates among liberals have also declined precipitously. Only 37 percent of liberals are currently married, compared to 56 percent of conservatives.
THE PARTY OF 'UGLY' CONTEMPT
The above image was a meme that has been going around for years, possibly decades, comparing the looks of liberal women and conservative women, and now, according to a new study published by Scientific Reports, that question has been answered.
Scientists in Denmark used machine algorithms on images of politicians, male and female, to see how accurately the machines could identify the political ideology of the person in the image, just by their faces.
First off the photographs used were provided to the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR) for use in public communication by the candidates themselves, so no human "choice" was involved. In other words, researchers did not pick and choose for desired results.
The final data set, after exclusions of politicians not be classified as left wing or right wing and those with beards because they can hide facial expressions. They also excluded photos of candidates who did not appear to be of European ethnic origin. "The reason for this exclusion was that candidates of non-European origin, while easy to visually identify, were 2.5 times more likely to be representing left-wing parties."
The accuracy of the predictions were 61%.
To predict facial attractiveness scores for our sample we use the publicly-available SCUT-FBP5500 dataset (https://github.com/HCIILAB/SCUT-FBP5500-Database-Release). This dataset consists of 5500 faces rated by 60 raters using a beauty score ranging from 0–4. (Scoring attractiveness as the average value from multiple raters is commonly employed in political science studies on facial attractiveness..
The conclusion, succinctly summarized by PsyPost, finds that "Faces of right-wing politicians were more likely to have happy and less likely to have neutral facial expressions. Women with attractive faces were more likely to be right-wing, while women whose faces showed contempt were more likely to be left-wing."
This seems to confirm the results of a 2018 study, which also found attractive people are more likely to be rightwing.
It is a finding unlikely to prove popular with Guardian readers, but a study has concluded that attractive people are more likely to be rightwing.
Previous research has found that those who are good-looking are generally treated better, achieve higher social status and earn more money, leading them to see the world as a just and fair place.
Now an American study published in the Journal of Public Economics based on comparing multiple surveys has concluded that the attractiveness of a person can correlate with their political beliefs.
The authors, Rolfe Daus Peterson of Susquehanna University and Carl L Palmer of Illinois State University, wrote: “Controlling for socioeconomic status, we found that more attractive individuals are more likely to report higher levels of political efficacy, identify as conservative and identify as Republican.”
At the time, one of the authors of the study, Rolfe Daus Peterson, stated "Attractiveness gives a person a small push in the conservative direction."
PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS....
What I have personally observed from social media, comment sections, chat forums and watching the liberal MSM, offers a reason as to why some liberals, especially white female liberals, are so unhappy, have mental health issues and are less attractive, not only by facial expressions, but in their overall appearance.
1.) Being "Woke: There are two different definitions for woke, one can be considered the "liberal version and the other the conservative version.
Liberal: "Woke means being conscious of racial discrimination in society and other forms of oppression and injustice.
Conservative: "An oxymoron term used to describe the many indoctrinated & radically left-wing people of today's world who are obsessed with jumping on whatever mainstream bandwagon is necessary to feel included, though ironically being the most intolerant and hypocritical people on the planet."
2.) These "woke" liberals constantly hunt for something to be offended about, call racist, complain about and generally are not happy unless they are criticizing someone else, or trying to make everyone else around them as miserable as they are.
They are constantly offended. Tell an old joke joke and they screech "sexual harassment."
Example:
A man in a crowded elevator responds to the call for which floor occupants wanted, and he jokingly says "ladies lingerie," and a woman in the elevator becomes offended, and reported him to the officials at the academic conference they were attending.
Simona Sharoni, professor of women’s and gender studies at Merrimack College in Massachusetts, took offense. As she recounted in a formal complaint lodged less than four hours later, Lebow “said, with a smile on his face, ‘women’s lingerie,’ and all his buddies laughed. After they walked out, the woman standing next to me turned to me and said, ‘I wonder if we should have told them that it is no longer acceptable to make these jokes!’ It took me a while to figure out that this man thought it was funny to make a reference to men shopping for lingerie while attending an academic conference. I am still trying to come to terms with the fact that we froze and didn’t confront him. . . . As a survivor of sexual harassment in the academy, I am quite shaken by this incident.”
After years of men being attacked and being called toxic for being masculine by liberals and the media (I know, same thing), yet want nothing to do with the beta boys their attitudes have created.
A single woman has made waves for lamenting on TikTok that all the chivalrous, masculine men in her dating orbit are conservative.
“As a liberal woman, it is really hard to find a man who is willing to play the more traditional masculine role in the relationship in today’s day and age who is not a conservative,” said the TikToker with the username @Ms_Petch.
“A man who wants to pay on the first date; who wants to open your door; who has that want and desire to take care of you and provide — who is not a conservative.”
How about when a man and a woman are out and about and he puts his arm lovingly around her shoulders? Well, according to liberal actress Helen Mirren, that is unacceptable because it is a gesture of "ownership."
I have to wonder what she would call a woman putting her arm around the man's waist while his was around her shoulders?
BOTTOM LINE..
The examples are all over the place, but the bottom line here is that when someone is always looking for something to be offended at or to hate, that is translated into body posture, attitude, facial expressions and results in mental illness, whether that is depression, anxiety or any other mental illness.
